Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) is celebrating its 80th birthday with a rip roaring performance of Calamity Jane.
The group performed for the first time in 1928 with The Mikado but its latest show goes back even further – to Deadwood City in 1876.
Made famous by Doris Day in the original 1953 movie, the story follows Calamity Jane's (Rebecca Jones) scrapes with the owner of the Golden Garter saloon Henry Miller (Ben White).
Calamity also attempts to bring the famous Adelaide Adams (Sharon Barker-Herauville) to the city.
She has a good friendship with Katie Brown (Trish Burgess) but a tempestuous relationship with Wild Bill Hickock (Daran Bland).
The show is full of great songs, such as Windy City, Black Hills of Dakota and the Oscar-winning Secret Love, and features Craig Delaney as Lt Danny Gilmartin, Jo Carling as Susan Miller, Mark Yates as Francis Fryer and David Lewsey as Rattlesnake.
The musical comes to the South Holland Centre, Spalding, from May 20 to 24 at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday, May 24.
Tickets cost £9 (£8.50 concessions), with a ten per cent discount for groups of ten or more.
