SPALDING Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) celebrates its 80th birthday with its latest production Calamity Jane from Tuesday.
Made famous by Doris Day in the 1953 movie, the musical follows Calamity Jane’s (Rebecca Jones) scrapes with the owner of the Golden Garter saloon Henry Miller (Ben White).

Jane attempts to bring Adelaide Adams (Sharon Barker-Herauville) to Deadwood City while dealing with friend Katie Brown (Trish Burgess) and a romantic link Wild Bill Hickock (Daran Bland).

The show is full of great songs, such as Black Hills of Dakota and the Oscar-winning Secret Love.

The musical comes to the South Holland Centre in Spalding from Tuesday until Saturday, May 24, at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.

Tickets cost £9 for adults and £8.50 concessions.
