The Maze In Maize in Whaplode re-opens its fields for fans of puzzles on Saturday.
The maze at Sholtsgate – one of the largest of its kind in Britain – opened in 2005 with the theme "Sealife", followed by "On Safari" in 2006 and "Outer Space" last year.

This year visitors can take a ride back to Ancient Egypt as the maze is based on the legendary Pharaoh Tutankhamun.

Owner Lance Whittington has added go-karts to the list of attractions for this year alongside a children's mini-maze and giant games and puzzles.

Mr Whittington said: "I am not sure many people realise how big the maze actually is.

"We have been overwhelmed by the popularity of the maze and the night mazes we hold have also proved particularly successful."

On Sunday, August 24, and Monday, August 25, there will be a Maze in Maize Bank Holiday spectacular, with bouncy castles, body art, live music and a barbecue.

The maze is open daily from 10am to 6pm (last entry 5pm) from this Saturday until September 7.

After that date it will be open at weekends only until Sunday, September 28.

Admission is £4.50 for adults (OAPs £4), £3.50 for three to 16-year-olds and free for under threes.

Family tickets are also available.
