A thirty two ounce steak and a chocolate peanut butter fudge sundae were among the gourmet meals in this year's Donington Cook of the Year competition.
The annual event at the Thomas Cowley School saw seven teams of two compete.
Each team consisted of a chef and a skivvy who did all the donkey work. Meals were prepared within an hour.
Judges were chair of governors Terry Chapman, reigning staff/student cookery competition winner Nathan Tweddell and ex-chef Michael Lock.
They got stuck in to Chris Stukins' meal of roasted tomato and baked salmon, followed by lemon cheese shortbread fingers, awarding her the first prize.
And the top skivvy prize went to admin manager Kate Maddison who assisted Nicola Arnold in preparing a fish pie followed by strawberry truffles.
Learning support assistant Chris was given a chocolate medal and a "clever clogs" mug, while Kate picked up a glamorous sink plunger and cleaning materials.
Head of food technology Diane Jenney said: "It was a fantastic event which is very popular with the school.
"It's very competitive and quite difficult for the chefs because they also have to prepare a table with flowers or candles, which took a lot of organisation."
