Sun shines on successful sports day

Spalding High School pupils enjoyed a smashing sports day in the sun.
More than 500 pupils battled it out on the athletics field.
Events included 100m, 200m, 800m and 1,500m races, discus, shot put, javelin and relay.
Competitors were divided into five houses, with Sharman house taking the top prize.
Head of PE Kathy Martindale said: "It was a really nice afternoon. We were so lucky with the weather."
