Novice gymnasts from Gleed Girls' Technology College, Spalding, took home a host of awards from a competition at the South Holland Centre.
The Spalding venue played host to the Key Steps Finals, an event designed to test the ability of schoolchildren in the area who do not normally compete in gymnastic competitions, which was judged by coach Philip Fensom.

Year nine student Jade Parker won three medals – silver for the floor event, bronze for the body conditioning and bronze in the vault – and year seven youngster Emma Hisee won silver in the floor event and gold in the vault.

Jerica Parker and Chantelle Jasper also earned silver medals for their body conditioning, Sam Harrison scooped bronze and silver medals in the floor and vault events and Nikita Hudz came fourth in the competencies.

Teacher Christine Ringrose said: "These girls had never done a competition before. It was quite nerve wracking for them but after this it gives them such confidence."
