Sweet taste of Pancake Day fun
Schools and community groups enjoyed the sweet taste of Pancake Day with several events to mark the popular English tradition.
Lutton Primary School pupils showed off their skipping skills after discovering it was a part of Shrove Tuesday celebrations in Scarborough.
They also got to experiment with various toppings on their ready-made pancakes before writing about whether their recipes were a success or not.
Gedney Church End Primary School hosted a one-day Pancake Olympics as children competed against each other in house groups for pancake races and the event overall was won by Ouse House.
A more traditional Shrove Tuesday event took place in Pinchbeck where Lorna Webb hosted a coffee and pancake morning, with home-made bread and quiches made at The Duke of York pub, Gosberton Risegate.
