School teams battled through icy roads and snow flurries to take part in the fourth annual Benchball Festival hosted by Sir John Gleed School and organised by its year 11 BTEC Sport students at Spalding’s Castle Sports Complex.

One of the invited schools, Bourne Grammar, was unable to attend because of the weather , but year eight boys and girls from Bourne Academy, University Academy Holbeach and the Gleed School all joined in. The event will count towards the Sport students’ coursework.
