Spalding health care assistant Sandra Goodband (left) is the queen of the quitters after securing the highest smoking cessation rate of any health professional in Lincolnshire.

Sandra, who works for Beechfield Medical Centre, had a 73 per cent quit rate among smokers who went to her to kick the habit. She received a citation and certificate from Georgina Barclay (right), a Phoenix smoking cessation adviser, watched by Beth Curtis, the nurse manager at Beechfield.
