Rise in Long Sutton council tax precept

LONG Sutton Parish Council has set a precept of £61,500 for the financial year starting in April.

The sum is up by £1,500 on the current year and the charge is added to council tax bill levied by South Holland District Council, Lincolnshire County Council and the police authority.

l Long Sutton councillors have made provision for its chairman to claim an allowance, but current chairman Coun John Clarey told members: “I don’t want to take it.”
