Happy Christmas: At the Spalding Mencap Christmas party are Elicia White, Glynis Summerfield, Caroline Roberts, Sue Lamb, John Sharp, Beth Brown and Lisa Shaw.

There were parties and events galore across the district as Christmas approached.

l The Spalding branch of Mencap held a Christmas party and disco to raise funds to take the people they support on holiday next summer.

l Carers from the Holbeach area held a Christmas party at the town’s youth centre.

l Staff and pupils at Edenham Primary School got into the festive spirit with a Christmas fair.

l Children from Lutton Primary School put on a nativity play at the Christmas meal held for Action Home Care client.

l Children from Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School put on their annual Christmas productions.

l Sixth Formers at Bourne Grammar School created Christmas food boxes for elderly Bourne residents.

Donations of food and festive treats were made by students and teaching staff.
