Trish and James Bryant have contributed this image of the rockery garden at Carter’s Park, Holbeach, that they say was demolished about 1960-1970 and the stone distributed to local homeowners.

The picture is from the archives of Holbeach Civic Society. Wendy Hammond of Spalding, who grew up in Holbeach, also contacted us to say that what we were calling a sunken garden was known as a rockery .
