South Holland District Council chairman Mick Seymour and resident Grace Croft cut the ribbon held by home manager Joanne Newton (left) and senior carer Heather Reid (right).

THE ribbon was cut last week on a new ten-bedroom extension that’s made life better for residents at Ashwood Nursing Home at Spalding Common.

The two-floor extension is part of a major refurbishment adding lounges, dining and reception areas and hairdressing salon, bringing the home’s total capacity from 30 to 47.

The home has been run for 16 years by Market Deeping-based Country Court Care owned by Abdul Kachra, who was at Saturday’s official opening.
