New community bus ready to ride

Holbeach residents will get their first glimpse of the new community bus on Saturday when it will be ready for inspection outside All Saints’ Church.

The 16-seat mini bus is fitted with a tail lift for wheelchair users and for people with disabilities.

Any social group will be able to use the minibus and members of Holbeach and District Community Vehicle Committee will be on hand to answer visitors’ questions and give out leaflets.

There will also be an event for invited guests, including people who have supported the charity, at Holbeach Football Club between 1pm and 3pm.

Vehicle committee chairman Martin Howard said: “There is now an ideal opportunity for local social or charitable groups to get a modern vehicle to use as they wish.”
