LUCY Poole wasted no time filling in the Spalding Flower Queen entry form because she’s wanted to take on the ‘job’ since she was a little girl.

Lucy (17), from High Road, Weston, said: “I moved here when I was 11 and that was the first year I ever saw the Flower Parade and ever since then it’s something I have wanted to do.”

Lucy left Gleed Girls’ School, Spalding, last year and is currently doing voluntary work with the Little Treasures nursery in Spalding and her local primary school.

Her ambition is to work on cruise liners either in childcare or as a hostess.

Lucy was born in Chatham, Kent, and lived on the Isle of Sheppey before moving here.
