SEVERE weather may have put off people from attending the fun day organised by Kylie Goodale in aid of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, but a massive £400 was still raised.

The 20 or so people who did struggle through the snow and ice to get to the Royal British Legion hall in Long Sutton had a great time while supporting the charity that helps the children of fallen soldiers. There was a tombola, cakes, crafts, face painting and costume characters provided for free by Bouncy Party Hire.

However, it was a prize donated by Fowler Welch of two tickets to see Manchester United play that guaranteed a successful raffle, with the tickets being won by 22-year-old football fan Victoria Cawthorn of Long Sutton.

Kylie is planning more events for the charity in future.
