BURNS night celebrations took place in Spalding at a St Barnabas Hospice charity evening.

Burns Night was celebrated in traditional style at the South Holland Centre with around 170 people attending.

The evening consisted of a five course meal, including a haggis ceremony with Scottish dancers.

After dinner there was a disco with themed competitions and £2,000 was raised.

Organiser Vikki Allen said: “It was a lovely evening and we hope it will become an annual event.”

St Barnabas’ next fundraising event is a spring fair on March 10.
