The owners of Moulton Pre-School can look forward to moving into their new home on a high after good news from education inspectors.

Ofsted has judged the pre-school, based at John Harrox Primary School, good in all areas such as catering for the needs and well-being of its children.

The report also praised the effective leadership and management of the pre-school which was inspected last month and is set to to move into a new, purpose-built premises on the same site at Easter.

In her report, Ofsted inspector Carly Mooney highlighted the “interesting activities” planned by staff and the strong relationship they have with parents.

However, the report also recognised a need for children to have a “better understanding of the wider world” and its different cultures.

The pre-school was taken over by joint owners Karen Seekins and Yvonne Fones in September 2010 and now has 46 registered children who are looked after by seven staff members.

Karen said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the report as it recognises all the hard work that the whole team has put in over the last few years.

“We were really pleased that Ofsted recognised we were performing well across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including our safeguarding of children and our service that makes them ready for school.

“We’re due to move into our new premises at Easter and we’re looking forward to carrying on the good work.”
