FUNDRAISERS have danced the night away in aid of two charities at a special event in Gedney Drove End.

More than 200 people turned out to be entertained by live band Black Shampoo and a disco in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer UK.

David Sones and his family are hoping to have smashed their target of raising more than £1,000 after the bash, which they are hoping will become an annual event.

They were inspired into hosting the night at Gedney Drove End Village Hall by relatives who have called upon both charities for support.

Brave guests also chipped in with a sponsored head shave on the night. Seven men and two women lost their locks to give the causes a boost. More than 60 raffle prizes were up for grabs too.
