Gedney cubs (front, from left) Darren Mawford, Lee Batiuk, Nicky Treater and (back) Thomas Wood, Wesley Mawford, Justin Barrs and Nicky Foster were the winning team in a district five-a-side football tournament.

Their success followed three years of being runners-up.

Clubs from Holbeach district, including Sutton St James, Sutton Bridge, Whaplode, Long Sutton and Holbeach competed at Holbeach Youth Centre.

Lee Batiuk was awarded the honour of being the day’s outstanding player.
