Cook up treat on new course

A new project is being cooked up to encourage South Holland residents to get back in the kitchen.

Two new free cooking courses will start in the next fortnight which will dish out large portions of information and tips to cooks to serve up a healthy dish or two as part of the Kitchen Garden Project.

The project focuses on creating community growing schemes and running health eating courses to promote healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.

South Holland District Council is once again working with Boston College to deliver these new courses, following from the success of smiliar ones already run in Spalding, Donington and Sutton Bridge.

Sessions cover a range of food-related topics including eating well, basic food preparation, budget meals, and healthy family dinners.

Courses start on Monday from 10am and noon at Sage restaurant, Spalding, and from 5pm to 7pm at the Sir John Gleed School.

To book, email info@boston.ac.uk or call 01205 313218.
