Children from Weston Hills try out the body art of India

Studies on India came to life for children at Weston Hills Primary School during a celebration day.

Years 3 and 4 pupils had a chance to dress in Indian costume and entertained Mehndi work artist Lyndsey Singh, who painted traditional and intricate Indian body art patterns on the children’s arms and hands.

Foods from the continent were on the menu too and the children had the chance to savour lots of different dishes.

The celebration day was opened up to parents in the afternoon and they joined the children to do some Indian art work.
