Bid to set new world record

A LIFESAVER is calling on people to join her in the world’s biggest Superman dance to break a world record and raise money for charity.

LIVES First Responder Lorraine Wise (53) needs 300 willing participants to take part in the attempt which she has organised for May 5.

The three-minute dance will be held in the car park at the North Kesteven District Council office, where she works as a post room officer.

Mrs Wise, of Wilkie Drive, Folkingham, said: “My aim is for us to beat the world record that was set by the 282 people who took part in the largest Superman dance in Barcelona in 2010.

“I’m hoping we can also raise some money for LIVES to go towards the upkeep of our lifesaving equipment like defibrillators.”

Most people will know the dance which is a set routine to Black Lace’s song Superman.

Mrs Wise hopes to make the event a memorable occasion for everyone who takes part.

She said: “It will hopefully bring a lot of people from everywhere together for a fun time.”

Anyone interested in taking part in the world record attempt can call Mrs Wise on 01529 497605 or email lorraine-wise@fsmail.net
