After-dark plea to charities

THREE charities are going to be asked to stop visiting homes after dark in the Falklands Estate at Sutton Bridge.

Speaking at a recent meeting of the parish council Coun Jenny Rowe said the WWF, UNICEF and The British Heart Foundation have been sending representatives out between 8pm and 9pm and she’s asking them to be more considerate.

She told the parish council: “It is not illegal to do it but it is quite distressing for some people.”

I have a no cold calling sign on my door. It saves a lot of hassle.
