SPALDING Lions hold their annual race night on Friday at the South Holland Centre.

The event starts at 7pm and will raise funds for use in the community and the Lions’ charity account.

THE Marjorum Beehive Association are hosting a Pamper Afternoon Cream Tea on Saturday at the Marjorum Hall, Gosberton Risegate from 2pm until 5pm.

Entry is free and you will be able to decide which treatments take your fancy from hopi ear candles, reiki, manicure, hand massage, Indian head massage and much more.

RENOWNED Guild of Battlefield Guides tour guide Clive Harris will be the guest speaker at this month’s Western Front Association meeting.

Clive’s talk is entitled ‘Sporting Icons Who Fell in the Great War’ and looks at the lives, both pre-war – as sportsmen – and their military careers up to their deaths in action.

Clive has run battlefield tours for many years and is the owner of the Battle Honours company which operates battlefield tours all over Europe.

The Spalding Branch of the Western Front Association meets on Thursday at 7.30pm at The Royal Mail Cart, Pinchbeck Road, Spalding.
