The award for the best business start-up was won by the Ship Inn at Surfleet.
Owned by married couple Clare and Michael Reynolds, the Ship Inn is a thriving bar and restaurant with accommodation and facilities for corporate and private functions.

The Ship has earned a place in the Good Beer Guide for its dedication to stocking a selection of real ales and also featured in the prestigious Michelin guide for 2007 for the quality of its food.

Michael said: "We are as proud as punch.

"We hoped we would win but looking at it we thought it was quite a hard category.

"There was some very tough competition and we certainly wouldn't have won if it wasn't for all the hard work from our staff.

"Clare and I have been together for 15 years and we have a dream.

"We want to be the best in the whole Lincolnshire area and this award is all about us working towards that dream."
